| 30-MINUTE EXERCISE ROUTINE |
The Surgeon General advocates at least 30 minutes of brisk exercise each day. The Cooper Institute calculates that taking 7,000-10,000 brisk steps each day meets that goal easily.
The 10,000 Steps-A-Day program advocates a lifestyle of activity rather than a once-a-day, 30-minute exercise routine. |

The 10,000 Steps-A-Day program was developed in Japan in 1965 by Dr. Yoshiro Hatano. "Its goal is to inspire individuals to start moving and, in doing so, enjoy a life of optimum health and well being."
